half a year (and only one picture)
***I’ve only got one picture for now. Sorry grandparents!***
First I’d like to say I can’t believe I haven’t blogged in soooo long! Whoopsie! And second, I can’t believe that our sweet girl is SIX MONTHS OLD (I say this every month)! Good grief. If the second half of the year goes as quickly as the first, I should probably just start packing her up for college.
So what has changed in the past month?
Addie can now roll both ways with ease. In fact she can roll to where ever it is her little heart desires. (Note to self: Baby proof.)
Addie is working on crawling…but it is hard for her to get the front half and back half to do what they need to do at the same time. So, basically we have some army man crawling forward and some inchworm maneuvers going backwards.
Addie has also been able to master sitting up this past month! It takes a second to get her stabilized but then you can let go and she will sit there for a minute or two. (Or until something out of reach catches her eye)
Addie has eaten all the stage 1 foods and is working her way through stage 2. She still LOVES sweet potatoes and squash but doesn’t give 2 hoots about bananas. Her new favorite food is the puffs. She’s tried the green veggie ones and sweet potato. She prefers the veggie one! Also we are trying to eat yogurt every day…sometimes she’s feeling it, other times not so much.
We have moved her up to a ‘big girl’ car seat instead of the infant carrier and she loves it. So much more room to wiggle around in! Also, she now sits in the shopping cart (I stick blankets on either side to keep her stable still) and loves her shopping cart cover.
We joined a playgroup a couple months ago but Addie is really starting to enjoy herself when we go. She loves looking and interacting with other babies!
