curbside pickin’s

September 2, 2008
I must confess.  I always see these great curbside finds of my blog friends and I have been SO jealous.  You see, here my area curbside stuff is either 1)disgusting and you wonder who/what died on it 2) from the 80’s
So, needless to say, when I saw this gem I scooped it up and tossed it in the back of my Corolla.

Now, “bamboo”/rattan isn’t really my style.  I am thinking of spray painting it a fun color like red or turquoise.  I probably will go with red since it would match literally every room in my house so I would have more options.  If I went with turquoise I want to use it in the guest room (when we update the bedding and furniture) as a side table.

I am just like you… I never see great finds on the side of the road… everything is gross and ugly or yes, from the 80’s.. LOL. nothing seems to have any potential.

I think you got something good here, I think red would be great. Make sure you show after shots!!!

Just beautiful. If you go to Sarah at A Beach Cottage (http://abeachcottage.typepad.com/my_weblog/), she lives in a little seaside town in Australia and you wouldn’t believe what she finds doing drive-bys on trash day!

And thank you so much for my birthday wish!
